A Baby is Coming!!!!

As many of you know Sami' and I are expecting our very first little one (girl). To say the least, we are so excited about the new addition to the JaCoway home. Currently, we are 38 weeks into the process and the time is drawing near very quickly. The estimated due date is December 15th, but we are taking bids on other dates in that general time frame (We have to make a little money to pay for her right?) Over the last 8 months we have been bombarding our brains with every piece of information that we could find on parenting and child birth. What we have discovered is that we have no clue how to take care of a baby. I am certain that this child will be raised purely on the grace of God. However, we are going to try really hard to raise her right...to love Jesus and love her neighbors.

I know that many of you are thinking. Sami' and I have have probably been asked this famous question 1,000 times in the last 8 months. "What is her name?" That is a great question. The answer is...we are not telling. It gives us great joy to torture those close to us by withholding such valuable information. Not to mention the market for naming kids is skyrocketing. No, we just think its pretty fun and the mystery keeps people somewhat interested.

So, if you want to be among the first to know the name of the worlds newest JaCoway. Stay tuned for future updates on the JaCoway baby experience through the J-Blog.

Okay so I'll be the first to make a comment...

I'm excited for the both of you and you know that I am. As much as I find joy in the thought that a small child that belongs to the two fo you, jumping on Dad and making Mom say "maybe not." it brings a smile to my face to see that you get the ultimate joy, not so much as the birthing experience, (cause that's solely for Mom) but for the adventure that is to come.

Just keep in mind, Dad dont get the milk to hot or put baby girl in her carseat and leave her on top of the roof for the car. And Mom don't forget that you were once a child and both of you have to work as a team at the Mom/Daughter thing and most importantly...

No one class or multitude of classes will prepare for YOUR CHILD, those are just other parents throwing there experiment out at you trying to make baby girl conform, but if she's anything like the 2 of you she will be the most enjoyable, laid-back, strong-minded experiment ever to take place in your lives...

So have fun and let the experiment begin...lol

Love
Lumpkin...

P.S. I'll wait to hear her name I like the surprise of learning how to spell of pronouce names, and yall know that I know some interesting ones...lol just dont name her after the car or a sign that isplaced in the birth-room ( Nas MoKing=non-smoking)....lol :)

I didn't see an option for the name "Candy Apple" on your poll. What gives?

You will do just fine as parents. The books only take you so far and really they helped us in no way since Sheri's world record labor. We can't wait to see lil Sami Jr!

Now is the time to sit back and relax, the best is yet to come.

I am so excited for you. You mentioned that you have no idea when it comes to raising a chil, but let me say this: children don't come with an manual, but you two are going to be some of the best parents. Both of you are so nurturing and loving, and most importantly Christ followers and with all of these qualities you already have more of a head start than most new parents. I have learned so much for both of you in our starting point class and even though my healt kept me from making it to the last 3 classes, you have taught me so much about my journey with God, and just how important he is in my life. I wish you the best of luck with these final weeks and Sami' you are going to do great when you deliver her. Remember what I said, "It is worth every thing when you take one look at your child for the first time". May God bless both of you and your precious baby as she makes her entrance into our world. I can't wait to see pictures.

I still think you should reconsider naming her Jackie Jacoway... it has such a nice ring to it. I can already see her being such a spitfire with that name. :)

We are so excited for you all and can't wait to meet little Miss Jacoway. She will be in such good hands. You are both amazing children of God and remember He is always with you so don't hesitate to ask Him for help with each new discovery on the journey of parenthood. He is with you!!

We're praying blessings over the remainder of the pregnancy and over each day of little baby Jacoway's life journey.

We love you guys!!!
